The Hotel Lucerne, where we stayed, on the corner of 79th and Amsterdam. A nice place, and well located for getting around town.
American Museum of Natvral History. We didn't go in, but look fondly on the building.
We didn't forget Poland. Another random monument in Central Park.
Naomi and I have a nack for going places under rennovation.
So the Metropolitan Museum of Art has a stunning collection produced from some of the best private collections of millionaires in NYC going back over 100 years. So among other things is the study of some italian duke which is of finely detailed wood paneling, including pictures composed of different kinds of wood..
The MET also has one of the best collections of Japanese weapons outside of Japan.
More Frank Lloyd Wright, these are some windows he designed.
The Met has an excellent collection of period rooms from throughout american history. This is actually the whole interior of one Frank Lloyd Wright room, brought into the museum.
... a few pieces of tiffany glass ...
awww..
I took this to remind me of Winslow Homer's Work, but didn't take a photo of the piece, as it wouldn't do it justice.
This piece reminded me of many late nights in .com's, the development team huddled around the glow of one monitor, watching the final compile...
I'm a sucker for staircases
There are many of these "pocket" buildings in between huge structures.
And an Egyptian Obelisk.
